Tourist in NYC

There must be hundreds if not thousands of articles about how to be or not to be a tourist in NYC. You can find list of stuff what to do to blend in and what to avoid so you won’t piss Newyorkers off.

I’m walking around NYC the second day now and I’m in love with this place. I’m not trying to look cool or homely and god knows I even whipped my selfie stick out so definitely more on touristy side myself and let me tell you, there is enough of us here to not be ashamed πŸ˜‚

However hard we might try to blend in or to tame our ‘tourist look’, I can tell you, there is one thing that will always show you are not from here.

It’s not ‘I β™₯ NY’ t-shirts, Selfie sticks or taking pictures on every corner until your camera decides it can’t take it anymore. It’s not a map sticking out of your back pocket or bable about how amazing experience this is.

One thing people can notice straight away, without even thinking, is ‘my broken neck’. I just stare up at skyscrapers because I have never seen anything like it before. The glimmer in my eyes as I still can’t believe I made it here! The dream has become reality and I don’t care if I look like crazy tourist that has never seen tall building before or adoring every fire escape! I can be who I am and right now I quite like being a tourist in love with New York City!

I’ve just been asked for direction by someone, coming out of subway. I guess I’m not too bad πŸ˜‚ Poor fella, I hope I sent you the right way. πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ
